What’s the pur pose of the double-lid? Why the glue?
The “Waste” family of the AP Medical containers are equipped with a double-lid (DUO). The central porthole of the lid (supplied with a temporary lock to allow an easy reopening during the use) limits odors and gasses dispersion usually associated with particularly dangerous material waste such as cyto-toxic material. The DUO lid and MONO lid are arrayed with a special glue on the perimeter that ensures the hermetic containment of liquid refuse.

Why are the container yellow? Are there any other colour?
Yellow is considered to be a standard colour for hazardous waste hospital containers; moreover the red lid (which communities danger) is supplied for needle containers.

What are the mandatory information on the label?
The label is an essential element for it holds the main information for correct handling of the container. AP Medical can supply personalized labels in a wide variety of languages, always respecting mandatory data of the label: the UN code, filling level, symbol of biological risk, and container capacity. The labels are applied via tampography, hot stamping, on the container directly in the mould, so to insure precision and hygiene during every day procedure.
